Due to ineffective communication from World War I, the Axis powers lost, sending Germany into an economic depression. In order to be more successful in World War II, the German Enigma codes and machines were established to ensure a more secure method of communication. These strategic codes would later be intercepted and decrypted by the Allies, helping them understand the German’s war plans and methods, resulting in the Allies winning World War II.
