Thesis: The World Wide Web was announced to the public in 1991 and changed the way the world communicated forever. The world wide web was the first publicly available search browser and it let people put anything on it that anyone can see with just a bit of perspiration. It made the idea of a superhighway of information a reality and now it is used by every single big or small company and is vital not just for communication it is vital for how we live.

¨In 1989, British physicist Sir Tim Berners-Lee (1955-) revolutionized the way information was shared when he proposed the creation of a system for linking documents on the Internet together in such a way that users could quickly navigate between documents by links among related sources of information. The method for linking and encoding information was called HyperText Markup Language (HTML). Berners-Lee named his new system the World Wide Web (WWW). Berners-Lee created the first web server, web browser, and the first web pages, which described his WWW project.¨
