The Kashmir Conflict

The Kashmir Conflict

The modern, ongoing Kashmir consequence stemmed from the partition.

Territory of Kashmir Pakistan and India they claim to own versus what they actually own

{Washington Post, 2019}

In the modern day, India and Pakistan both claim to own the whole of Kashmir, even though they each only control parts of it. India and Pakistan both fighting over Kashmir today shows how the hatred and loathing against the Muslims and Hindus that was bred during the partition caused, or at least incentivized war between the two countries over Kashmir.  Both countries willing to fight two wars for a single territory is evidence that the war over Kashmir is an effect of hatred and loathing rather than that of strategy.
