Gender discrimination has been prevalent since women entered the world of professional sports. Women have recieved less support financially and from fans, forcing them to advocate for themselevs. Recently, players on the U.S. women’s soccer team won an equal pay lawsuit to get paid the same amount as male soccer players. This is an important step towards closing the gap for all women in the U.S. sports industry.
