King Sejong's language has now grown exponentially, having seventy-four million speakers worldwide. Also, many students from schools or interns from college have been learning and studying Hangul. King Sejong’s Hangul was adapted to become even easier to use, it now has twenty-four letters, taking out four from his original alphabet. It is also the national language of both North and South Korea, providing a way to communicate in an easy-to-learn language. The language was named Hangul because it can mean either "great script" or "Korean script", which are both suitable names for this language. Many books were written about King Sejong, and there are even many television dramas about him. Overall, King Sejong bravely created a new language that served his people, and created a new frontier in Korean History.
"A wise man can acquaint himself with them before the morning is over; even a stupid man can learn them in the space of ten days.”~ King Sejong
