The only witness who saw Amber getting kidnaped was Jimmie Kevil, who immediately called the police, starting the search for her. The pursuit of Amber was extensive, in the following days investigators would barely sleep. The search tragically ended when a dog walker found her body. She was left in a creek by a drainage pipe in Forest Hollow Lane. The neighborhood was around six miles away from where Amber was taken.
βAmber was totally nude except for a sock on her left foot.. We rolled her over and I caught her head in my hands. Several lacerations to her throat. [A] knife or screwdriver had been used to rip her throat out.β
