After the Osage murders, the FBI was formed to combat the corruption of the BoI. This new agency was given more government funding and better wages for employees. Pushing forward this frontier of fingerprints and other forensic evidence being analyzed, the world's first fingerprint database started in 1924, with shoe prints and cloth pieces soon being stored as well. As the databases became increasingly advanced, cases were solved at astonishing speeds. To this day, the Fbi still uses tactics discovered from these investigations. Even today, Native Americans are still going missing, without a trace, and being found dead. So even after how far we developed this frontier of forensic evidence, we still have a long way to go to ensure the safety of everyone.
