Speedy Communication

The Navajo's code was extremely speedy. They were an essential and a necessary part of the Marines.

The Navajo took only 20 seconds to translate three lines of English. They used portable radios and telephones to communicate. Typically, a code-breaking machine would take 30 minutes to translate around three lines of English. The security of speedy communication led to the capability of winning the war. The Japanese were clueless when it came to figuring the marine's plans.
