                                                 The Boston Massacre

        The Boston Massacre was an event that in a way started the whole American Revolution.  The Massacre happend on March 5th, 1770, when British troops fired into an angry crowd of colonists. The troops killed four people and injured many others. After the massacre there were many newspapers and letters about the killing. The news spread rapidly around the colonies, by horseback messengers, broadsides, and town criers. The images struck fear and proved that the colonies needed to rebel.
