Boston Tea Party

                                                 The Boston Tea Party

The Boston Tea Party happend on December 16, 1773, where angry American colonists dressed as Native Americans stormed three East India cargo ships named Dartmouth, Eleanor, and Bruce. The colonists destroyed and dumped 340 chests of tea into Griffin Wharf. This angered the British Goverment because the tea that the colonists threw into the wharf cost 9,000 pounds. This sent the British Goverment a strong message but still they gave the colonies a new set of taxes: the Intolerable Acts. Now you are wondering how this all started.  The British government told the colonies they could only drink tea from the East India Company. Of course, the colonists did not like that and they decided to storm three ships full of tea. Did you know that nobody got hurt and nothing was damaged exept the tea chests and mabye a padlock?

This is an picture of the raid in action.
