The Declaration of Independence

                                      Declaration of Indepenence

The Declaration of Independence was a key part of the American Revolution. It told the American people what the soldiers that were giving up their lives were fighting for. It was read in many towns, and also would boost the morale of the troops becase they knew their cause was offical. The  Declaraion of Independence told the British that the American people that they were serious about wanting freedom.

It also made it so that the Americans could ask the French to fight with them because they knew that it would be hard to beat the British alone. It was an important event in American history. Without it, we may have never become our own country. It was a big thing that would change America forever.
