Panic erupted and chaos flooded the streets. The Cuban Nuclear War was the most devastating event in history. Cuba quickly became a nuclear wasteland and DC and Moscow were in terrible shape. Food and water were rare and considered a luxury. Citizens around the world lived in a constant fear for their very lives, as they waited for their city to be annihilated. 

The conflict between the US and Russia went hot, for the first time during the Cold War, there was no hope of reconciliation. Cuban refugees were desperately fleeing the island.  Millions of Russians, Americans, and Cubans died from the initial impact of the missiles and hundreds of thousands more from radiation.  ​​​​​​​

...Fortunately that never happened.
