The Chicano Civil Rights Movement

Thesis

The activism and proactive communication advocating for the equal rights of Mexican-Americans throughout the history of the Chicano Civil Rights Movement led to many improvements in the treatment of Chicanos across the nation, such as the right to speak Spanish in American schools. The Chicano Civil Rights Movement also granted Mexican-Americans political rights, as well as improving conditions for Mexican-American workers. Not only did Mexican-Americans improve conditions for their own community, but their actions also led to many bilingual and bicultural reforms.
