How Media Influenced the 1960 Presidential Election

After the general election in 1960, two candidates secured their party's nomination, John F. Kennedy for the Democrats and Richard Nixon for the Republicans. Throughout the presidential campaign, the media was a prevalent force, with around-the-clock TV commercials, daily newspaper cover, and nationally televised debates. The media was influential in shaping the outcome of the 1960 U.S. Presidential election.
