Eunice Kennedy Shriver created a worldwide movement built on the idea of inclusion and equity. The Special Olympics is now the world’s largest program for disabled individuals for athletic competition. Using the power of sports, Shriver changed the lives of millions of athletes, inspiring them to continually show courage. ​​​​​​​

The Special Olympics provides an environment where athletes with intellectual and physical disabilities have the opportunity to display their strengths and capabilities to the world, using the power of sports.
