The military was not censoring photos taken by photojournalists capturing the Vietnam War, this made an impact opening the eyes of the public to the reality of horrific events occurring in Vietnam. Many of the photos sparked outrage and caused lack of trust in the military. This led to heavy journalism censorship for future wars. These photos fueled the anti-war movement and played an important role in swaying the tide of war and contributing to finally end the Vietnam War.
