With the rise of Two-Dimensional (2D) animation in the film industry, it was only a matter of time until a company would come out with the first Three-Dimensional (3D) animated film. In the year 1991, a family entertainment company by the name Disney teamed up with a newly starting film company named Pixar to create three 3D animated films. While both companies have produced 3D animated short films before, neither had creature a full-length movie using the medium. So when the first film Toy Story was produced it was a massive hit. It was a huge success, bringing attention of both Pixar and Disney, and inspiring many more movies to be created, leading to all the ones we have today.
