Italy underwent a cultural rebirth, a revolution that would then have effects on many of the aspect of society. Early Renaissance artists began by producing art that was more inspired by an understanding of architecture, philosophy, theology, mathematics, science, and design. The advances that originated in art during this era continue to greatly affect the artistic and cultural landscapes of today. The main artistic style is realism, and an example of this is the, Frescoes of the Trinity which is now located in the Church of Santa Maria Novella by painter Masaccio. The Holy Trinity artwork is considered to be one of the finest examples of the early Renaissance and their sense for scientific approach when constructing a compelling painting. Masaccio wasn't painting for long, maybe less than six years, but he was extremely successful in the early Renaissance for the academic quality of his art additionally for the scientific aspect of his work. Another example of how artists would use realistic features in their art to show their trends and daily lives is, the bronze doors for the Baptistery of the cathedral of Florence art style. This piece was made by the sculptor Lorenzo Ghiberti who won a major competition to be able to be the sculptor of the bronze doors, he beat the architect Filippo Brunelleschi and the young Donatello. When you look closely at the door, in each panel you can see amazing details that were put in like women carrying bags of most likely food on their head, children, and people soliciting. In this artwork some technics were also used in the holy trinity, using science to give a sense of space in the painting. This also reflects the trends during this period since the art depicts the daily lives of these people in the most life-like way possible.
