Thesis
In an attempt to entertain and distract the public from World War II, Philip K. Wrigley helped crack the gender barrier in sports by creating "A League Of Their Own," A baseball league made up of all women. Representing a new outlook on women’s roles and accomplishments, the league broke down a barrier by creating a professional women’s sport which impacted more opportunities for women today. Although the barrier of an organized women’s sport was broken, unfortunately the idea of sexism still remains.
