During the 1400s, news and literature was spreading very slowly, resulting in scientists worldwide attempting to find a solution. Eventually, Johannes Gutenberg rose up to create the world’s first official and accessible printing press. Society’s reaction to the press, allowed it to reform and change over time, as it completely revolutionized and affected the technological world. Imagine making a printing press, and within three years of printing, book costs in the area dropped by 80%. This happened to two printers near Rome in 1465 who had been using a Gutenberg printing press ("Printing and Publishing”). The Gutenberg printing press was invented by Johannes Gutenberg and began being used commercially in around the year 1450. This was a major technological revolution, as it led to a faster way to spread information and education.
