 Following World War II, 1945-1949, the Nuremberg Trials held 201 Nazi officials responsible for the Holocaust. However, there still were thousands of Nazis who returned to “normal” life including many with knowledge and the ability to implement the Holocaust.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
