Although Nellie Bly was not the fastest to ever travel around the world, she still made a lasting impact through her trip and her approach to journalism, breaking through the barrier of social norms and equality for women. She completed feats that were unusual for her gender and women worldwide were and still are rewarded by her exploration in the frontier of female representation in society.
