Thesis

The French Revolution marked the end of hereditary monarchy in the 1700s, and ushered in the new age of representative governments. As France expanded abroad, its democratic ideals along with its views of democracy spread all over the world. The French Revolution and its ideals became the new frontier of democracy, and forever changed the ideas of government.
