This virus was an important part of European history because of how drastically it affected the entire society of Europe. The Bubonic Plague was a major part of European history because it corrupted the farmland and there was a very minimal amount of food that went around to the people of Europe. The Bubonic Plague not only corrupted the farmland of Europe but it is mostly blamed for killing “30 to 50 percent of Europe” (“The Bright Side ''). ​​​​​​​
