Israeli Reactions

In Israel, reactions were united.  Recognition from an Arab Nation and ending war made Begin a hero. Some settlers in Sinai opposed the Accords. They attempted stopping the government from removing their settlements, but failed. Most Israelis were happy: the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies took a poll showing 85% of Israelis supported the Accords.
