Cape Cod was once one of the most productive fisheries in the Atlantic, it began to decline as fishing in the area picked up. Overfishing and environmental changes spurred unprecedented declines in Cape Cod’s fisheries highlighting the mismanagement that violated the right that people have to a healthy fishery, and the responsibilities that have been overlooked by the people utilizing the fishery.
