Thesis:

In November of 1979, there was an issue in Iran that involved the U.S. Embassy. On November 4, 1979, Iranian militants seized the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and held the people who worked within the embassy hostage so the U.S. would meet the demands of Iran. Shortly after, President Carter lost the election which was not only devastating for him but also embarrassing. Long-term wise, Iran and United States relations were ruined. Despite the many debates between the two countries, they could not come to a conclusion where both countries benefited.
