The removal of segregation:
When they removed segregation, they signed into law, on July 2, 1964, the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This outlawed segregation in all forms of businesses; such as theaters, restaurants, and hotels. Additionally, it banned discriminatory practices, in public places. For example: swimming pools, libraries, and public schools. This change, through their forced responsibilties, allowed African American families and individuals to coexist similarly to American citizens.
