The Great Migration was one of the largest movements of people throughout American history. This exodus from South to North was fueled by many factors, including the Red Summer​​​​​​​.

Throughout the exodus, many African-Americans were exposed to disease due to harsh weather and environmental conditions.

New African-American tenants also received much racial discrimination, as citizens of other races fought against their settlement.

The Migration Series, created by Jacob Lawrence depicted the lasting social, political, and cultural impacts of the Great Migration. It is used to educate individuals on the Great Migration.
