Alan Mathison Turing was born June 23, 1912, in London, England. In 1931 Turing would attend the University of Cambridge to study mathematics, then in 1936, he would also attend Princeton University for a Ph.D. Turing was many things in his life including a mathematician, computer scientist, cryptanalyst, and philosopher. Though tragically his life would end on June 7, 1954, with him having died from cyanide poisoning his death was ruled as a suicide. This project will be about Turing's accomplishments, the impact his life has had, and the horrible treatment he had received from his own country and government due to his sexuality.
