At first when Jackie Robinson just had join Brooklyn Dodgers many fans and players, including the ones on his team, didn't support him because of his race and color. People would throw items at him like food or others and he was sent death threats. That was until Jackie showed them what he could do and later on his teamates started to respect him. Soon later Jackie became one of the best players in his team and the league, but this could have never happened without his team manager, Branch Rickey who was the first to ever make Robinson feel respected.
After Robinson made history by breaking the MLB color barrier, not only did he impact baseball but also many other sports such as swimming, changed their color barrier. This was a huge impact of the world but mostly on the sports industry.
When Robinson made history not only did he impact the lives of many, but he also had an even bigger impact on the world. For example, when he broke the color barrier he helped set the stage for the burgeoning civil rights movement.
