Why was the MLB color Barrier Created?

Baseball Team Managers feared that the baseball fans wouldn´t pay to watch African Americans play. The color barrier was also created in the 1890's due to an economic crisis.

The MLB color barrier was broken by none other than Jack Roosevelt Robinson in 1947. Robinsoin broke the Color barrier when he signed a contract with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. In addition to this he gave everyone an equal chance to make it into the MLB.
