AHIHA Today:

There was a lot to celebrate in 2019. Not only did AHIHA members of Team USA bring home the gold in the Deaflympics, but AHIA also celebrated its 46th anniversary and held the first AHIHA reunion! 43 alumni attended the event, including players from the “Legacy Team”.
The “Legacy Team” are players from the first AHIHA camp in 1974 and Cindy Apointe, AHIHA’s first woman camper in 1983.
The highlight of the event was the Alumni Game. The teams wore vintage AHIHA jerseys and the game ended in a shootout. A rematch is planned when the organization celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2023!
