Berlin Wall Falls

Exactly one month after the successful "Miracle" of Leipzig, the Berlin Wall that had divided Germany into two since 1961, finally tumbled to the ground. While there are many believed factors that went into this historic event, such as a bureaucratic accident, the sudden wave of revolutions was a major factor that got the ball rolling. The continuous increasing amount of pressure on the GDR throughout the Monday Demonstrations with the growth of each week may have been part of the cause of the bureaucratic accident. The fall of the Berlin Wall was a major stepping stone of a 339 day journey to German Reunification.
