The MLB organization was first integrated in 1947. Jackie Robinson, Larry Doby, and Hank Thomson were the first to be intergrated. Jackie Robinson played in Brooklyn, New York, Larry Doby played in Cleveland, and Hank Thompson played in St. Louis. These people made it safer for other African Americans to play in the MLB, and anyone can still play to this day. The rules would be the same without them, and only certain people could play baseball. So, people who fought for that right helped the next generations get a secure place to play and have successful careers.
