President Rutherford B. Hayes to Alexander Graham Bell in 1876 on viewing the telephone for the first time:
βThatβs an amazing invention, but who would ever want to use one of them?β
when Alexander graham bell was done with his new invention of the telephone, he wanted to go sell the telephone to people and make money off of it. So he went out and sold them. When he was done selling the telephones, his business took a big hit, money wise. He would make 100,000 a mouth selling telephones to people (Anderson 05).
