Puerto Rico's history illustrates the many mediums that Spain and the USA used to exchange information with the island, especially regarding its political future.  They include but are not limited to: protests, laws, songs, treaties, propaganda, Federal Court decisions, proclamations, flags, cultural exchanges and ultimately, English integration.
