This source is important to my source, because I needed primary sources as visuals.

This source is important to my project because there are many pictures of hieroglyphics that Champollion observed. This source is important because it provides information straight from the source of the person who deciphered the Rosetta Stone.

Accessed 26 Feb. 2020. This is a primary source, as it is an online version of the book written by the people who discovered the Rosetta Stone while in Egypt. The pages with photos of the Rosetta Stone were important to my project. The Rosetta Stone photos were from the time that the artifact was found, meaning that the photo is reliable and a good visual for my website.

It has a letter from Young on the website, which I needed to include for my primary sources. The source was able to help me reach my goal of amount of primary sources.

This source is important because it includes a painting of the battle that occurred during the French Invasion of Egypt. I have a page on the invasion, so it was very helpful to have an image for that tab.

This is a primary source. I used it because there is a good portrait of Napoleon. I was able to use the image on my website for interesting media.

Elizabeth Nix's article on History uses various primary sources, such as quotes from speeches and photographs, thus classifying the source as a secondary source. The entire article is important to my topic about the Rosetta Stone, as it provides necessary background information and the impacts that the artifact has inflicted throughout history. This source is important to my subject because it has shown me many keywords, such as Champollion, Egyptology, and the French invasion of Egypt, that I will use to conduct further research.

Scoville's article on Ancient History Encyclopedia is a secondary source. The whole article was useful to my topic on the Rosetta Stone, because Scoville gives a lot of factual information on hieroglyphics. This source is important to my website project by expanding my knowledge on the decline of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and the timeline of the script.
