Influence

The influence of the Transcontinental Railroad was that it changed transportation forever. After the Transcontinental Railroad was built, one of the main ways to travel long distances was by taking a train. After the Transcontinental Railroad, many other countrys decided to make their own Transcontinental railroad (Canadian Pacific Railway). One of the countrys is Canada who began building their Transcontinental in 1881 (Canadian Pacific Railway). A subway is an underground railroad that stretches all throughout big cities. The Transcontinental Railroad also influenced where people lived as it helped immigrants spread out all throughout America (History.com).
