When Elizabeth Blackwell got her medical degree she opened up a medical school and clinic/office for women to allow them to have a chance of becoming doctors. It also helped women to become more comfortable when going to the doctors. It also helped women to get equal rights, which means the same jobs as men also have. ​​​​​​​
