Toy Story began production on Janurary 19, 1993 when companies Disney and Pixar collaborated on a $26 million deal to produce three animated films. Toy Story was the first of the three films to be created, the next two being A Bug's Life and Toy Story 2.

The world of Toy Story comes from the idea of toys secretly coming alive when nobody is looking. The plot of the movie revolves around the two protagonists. A cowboy doll named Woody, who belongs to a young boy named Andy, and a new space action figure named Buzz Lightyear Throughout the course of the film, Woody and Buzz have to work together to overcomes their differences and problems. The main villain in Toy Storyis Andy's next door neighbor Sid. Sid is a destructive kid, and is known for destorying and torturing toys.
