Rome was founded by twin brothers Romulus and Remus on the Tiber river lengends says. Around 509 B.C. Rome fell as a monarchry and became a republic. Emperorers were slected like presidents, by the people and seperation of powers was aslo protecting it form becoming a oligarchy again. The Emperoreres enforced the 12 tables which the Roman citizens followed. But around 300 B.C. most of the power was in the senate wich was the rich and wealthy familys. The millitary started to become more powerful aroud 390 B.C. and after the 3 Punic Wars, Rome's size grew and they became even more powerful. Then came the downfall after Augustus' rule the Roman Republic has fallen in 27 B.C.
