The 19th Amendment was the result of many women’s work (“19th Amendment”). Women were punished for fighting for their freedom, they were heckled, jailed, and physically abused (“19th Amendment to the…”). Women also impacted elections because now they have more people for the votes. In the marches and parades for suffrage there were about 100,000 people, just imagine how much more votes there could be (Drexler). ​​​​​​​
