Conclusion

“I want to do more than give those crippled children toys and candy” ~ Arthur Capper

Many people with disabilities have achieved great things through the services that the Capper Foundation provides. If Arthur Capper wouldn't have realized that there was a problem, then a lot of people with disabilities wouldn't have improved so much. The disabled were viewed as unwanted people before Arthur Capper realized that the barrier needed to be broken. Now they are seen as valued and contributing members in our community. All of this has happened because the Capper Foundation did so much more than give people candy.
