Live Aid has sparked an entire movement across the world to raise awareness for this cause. Not only are people raising money to help aid Ethiopia, but they are also making their own music and organizations to help grow the movement in their own countries.
"Although it peaked at a relatively lowly number 13 in the United States, the song was a global smash that inspired 1985’s “We Are the World” by USA for Africa and decades of superstar-packed benefit concerts and recordings to come. It was one of the most influential recordings of the last 50 years."

"Singer/actor/activist Harry Belafonte was the initiator of the events that led to the recording of “We Are the World.” Inspired by the recent success of “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”—the multimillion-selling charity record by the British-Irish collective Band Aid—Belafonte talked Richie, Jackson and Jones into helping him organize an American response under the name “USA for Africa.”

Tomorrow will be better was recorded on 15 September 1985 and released on 25 October 1985 and was directly inspired by the UK charity single Do They Know it's Christmas? in order to raise money for World Vision to help with aid to Africa. Many Taiwanese artists came together to bring the troubles in Africa to light.
Translation:
Bring us the news from far away — the still existing messages about the famine and the cruel fire of battle
The white snow drifting on the Jade mountain, fire up the heart of youth
Let true feeling melt and become the music notes to tell and express the blessing to the far away places
Sing out your passion and open your pair of hands
Let me embrace your dreams, let me hold your face of true heart
