The Hubble Space Telescope

Revealing All the Secrets of the Universe

The 1957 launch of the Sputnik was an accomplishment for the USSR, but the actions that day ignited a spark that resulted in the Space Race. In 1966, NASA built prototypes of orbital satellites that would take pictures of galaxies far beyond, and the final result was the Hubble Space Telescope. It would be the connection between our Earth and the stars beyond.
