In March of 1952, Alan Turing was convicted of gross indecency that being homosexuality, as being homosexual was a crime in Britain at the time. Turing was subjected to the punishment of chemical castration as a way to "cure" him. In 1954 Alan Turing was found dead the cause of his death being cyanide poisoning. The official verdict of Turing's death would be that he had committed suicide.
