Impacts

Alan Turing's impact on the world can't be overstated, his inventions/ideas and personal story has affected and resonated with many people across the world. His work is the foundation for our world computers and they have had a massive impact on the world and its people's lives. Computers have been the catalyst for many things and our computers now have so many capabilities like longe distance communication in a short amount of time, looking for information on the internet, using them for mathematical calculations, and much more. In recent times there are many people who have moved to work in the comfort of their own home using a computer. Computers allow us to build simulations of what we can expect to happen in the real world. His influence on WWII is massive and who knows what the world and America would have done with 2 more years of war if not for Turing. In the 2000s Alan Turing had been officially pardoned by the Queen for the horrible treatment he had received. Following this event, many activists including Turing's great-niece had pressed for the pardoning of all the men who had been convicted unfairly as well. England and Wales had passed the pardoning act which is often called, "Turing's Law" being named after Alan Turing.  ​​​​​​​
