                      Communication The Key To Understanding

In August of 1942, Hedy Lamarr, along with her partner George Antheil, submitted a patent for a “frequency hopping” communication device “that would permit the radio control of airborne torpedoes” to the United States military (Severo). Lamarr’s invention had an impact on the entire world. However, she wasn’t recognized for her influence on the current technological advancements until 1997 when she received the Pioneer Award from the Electronic Frontier Foundation (George).
