In the 1913 Women’s Parade, women from around the country protested from the U.S. Capitol building to the Treasury to communicate their commitment to the women’s suffrage movement. This transformative event created a chain reaction which resulted in the ratification of the 19th Amendment and a wave of women’s rights activism, a cause that still lives today.
